"‘The Queen Woo’: Kim Mu-yeol Dazzles as Goryeo’s Top Official in New Stills"

"The Queen Woo" is already creating a buzz among K-drama enthusiasts ahead of its release, thanks to its star-studded cast and compelling plot. The South Korean network TVING has recently unveiled fresh stills featuring lead actors Jeon Jong-seo and Kim Mu-yeol, offering fans a glimpse into their roles. Jeon Jong-seo, portraying the queen, exudes intensity in her performance. Meanwhile, the new stills also showcase Kim Mu-yeol as Guksang Eulpaso, Goryeo's top official, who is tasked with defending the palace following the king’s unexpected death.

The drama centers on Queen Woo Hee, played by Jeon Jong-seo. After the sudden death of King Gogukcheon, Woo Hee finds herself targeted by five rival tribes and a prince who seeks the throne. Despite her knowledge and capabilities, she is manipulated by her own clan and must find a new king within 24 hours. Throughout the power struggle, Woo Hee reveals her true self, concealed behind her royal facade.

Kim Mu-yeol’s character plays a pivotal role in maintaining stability and has the potential to alter the kingdom's fate. As a knowledgeable figure on the political tensions between the tribes, Eulpaso proposes marrying Queen Woo Hee to avert a potential war for the throne. During his interactions with the queen, he uncovers the truth behind the king’s death and becomes a staunch supporter of Woo Hee.

TVING shared Mu-yeol’s stills from The Queen Woo on Instagram, stating, “Someone who wields power with exceptional strategy. First look at the greatest strategist of Goryeo, ‘Eulpaso,’ revealed. The action-packed historical drama Queen Woo will premiere exclusively on TVING on August 29.”
