The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is set to create a five-episode web series that will offer a comprehensive look at its functions and its 90-year history. 

The series is expected to run for about three hours in total, with each episode lasting 25-30 minutes, as outlined in an official document.

Established in 1935, the RBI celebrated its 90th anniversary in April this year.

According to a document inviting bids via e-tendering for the 'Production and Distribution of a Web Series Commemorating 90 Years of the RBI,' the bank aims to create a five-episode series, with each episode lasting approximately 25-30 minutes. This series is intended to be broadcast on national TV channels and/or OTT platforms.

"Through compelling storytelling, expert interviews, and high-quality visuals, the web series seeks to enhance transparency and build trust in the central bank's operations and policies," RBI said.

The RBI has called for proposals from interested production companies, TV channels, and OTT platforms for this project.

Furthermore, the series will act as an important communication tool for the central bank, aiding in the dissemination of policy announcements and strategic messages. It will also promote greater public engagement and enhance understanding of the bank's crucial role in the economy.
