The Mumbai municipal administration has taken action against two secondary engineers for neglecting pothole issues during the monsoon season, despite their appointment in 227 electoral wards to address such problems. Additional Commissioner Abhijit Bangar identified negligence in the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road and Bhandup Village areas, leading to the issuance of show cause notices to the responsible engineers. Bangar emphasized the municipality's duty to maintain roads and warned of strict action against any laxity. He ordered the engineers to be proactive in identifying and filling potholes, mandating that all potholes should be repaired within 24 hours.
