Sudhanshu Pandey Bids Farewell to *Anupamaa After Four Years, Contrary to Recent Rumors

Sudhanshu Pandey, who gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Vanraj Shah on the hit TV show Anupamaa, has announced his departure from the series. After four years of playing the complex antagonist, Pandey revealed his exit in an emotional Instagram Live session on Wednesday evening.

Pandey, who has been a central figure in the show's success since its debut in 2020, shared his feelings with fans, stating, “For the past four years, I have been coming into your homes daily through this show, portraying a character who has received both love and criticism. Even the criticism felt like a form of love because if people weren’t affected by my character, I wouldn’t feel I was doing my job right.”

In his heartfelt announcement, Pandey said, “I want to tell you all with a heavy heart that I am no longer a part of the Anupamaa show. From the Raksha Bandhan episode onwards, I will not be a part of the series. It’s important for me to inform you personally, as I didn’t want to leave without explaining. We must move forward in life, and I hope you will continue to support me in my future endeavors.”

The actor did not disclose the reasons behind his departure. Producer Rajan Shahi has confirmed that contrary to recent rumors, lead actors Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna remain committed to the show.

In addition to his acting career, Sudhanshu Pandey has recently ventured into music, releasing a single with Behisaba and announcing the return of his band, A Band Of Boys, with their new track "Gori Again." This shift towards music marks a new chapter for Pandey, who had previously paused his musical pursuits to focus on his acting career.
